Electrical estimating software for service electricians: panels, EV chargers and service calls.
Built for quoting at the house, not for taking off plans. Start from 45 electrical repairs with the hours and parts in them, give the homeowner a good, better and best option on the panel or the charger, and get it signed on their phone.
No credit card. Cancel anytime. Up to 25 people for $49 a month.
200-Amp Panel Upgrade
New 200-amp, 30-space panel with standard breakers in the same location, labeled and permitted.

Which kind you need
Two kinds of electrical estimating software
Search for electrical estimating software and most of page one is takeoff and bid tools. They solve a different problem. Pick by where the estimate happens.
Service quoting software
Service calls, panels, EV chargers, remodel circuits
You walk the house, price a known job from a price book, offer options and get it signed before you leave. Speed, a clean quote and your margin matter more than counting devices. This is what EstimateKit is.
Takeoff and bid software
Commercial and new construction, from plans
You count devices and measure conduit and wire runs off drawings, build assemblies with labor units, and bid the job to a general contractor. Tools such as Trimble Accubid, McCormick and ConEst are built for this. EstimateKit doesn't do it.
The price book
45 electrical repairs, priced on day one
A new electrical account opens with 45 repairs in eight groups, from a $129 diagnostic call to a 200-amp service upgrade, each with its hours and parts already in it. Labor starts at $110 an hour, $165 after hours and $60 for an apprentice, and four good, better, best quotes cover the jobs homeowners ask for most.

Starting prices, not your prices. Each repair carries its hours and parts, so setting your own hourly rate and markup once re-prices the whole book. Add your own repairs and import your supplier's price sheet any time.
What you get
From the first call to paid, in one place
Every part of this is in the $49 plan. Nothing is an add-on.
Service work ready to price
GFCI swaps, new 20-amp circuits, dryer and range outlets, ceiling fans, recessed lights, breakers and surge protectors, each with the hours and parts filled in. Set your hourly rate and markup once and the whole book re-prices.
Options on panels and chargers
The panel quote starts as a straight swap, a 40-space panel with surge protection and arc-fault breakers, or a full 100 to 200-amp service upgrade. EV chargers go from a 14-50 outlet to a hardwired charger with a load calculation; generator hookups from an interlock to a transfer switch.
Your margin while you quote
Profit and margin sit under the quote total and update as you add the panel, breakers and wire, so a thin upgrade gets caught before the homeowner sees it.
Checklists on every install
Three come with the account: an annual safety inspection, a panel inspection and a new-circuit or EV charger closeout. Techs tick them on the job, and you can see who ticked what and when.
Every panel on file
Record panels, subpanels, surge protectors, EV chargers and generators per customer with a photo of the label. The inspection checklist has a step for noting recalled or problem panels, so you know whose to call about.
A safety plan to sell
The Home Electrical Safety Plan comes set up at $199 a year: an annual inspection, smoke, CO, GFCI and AFCI tests, priority scheduling and 10% off repairs. The visit gets scheduled and the renewal reminder goes out on its own.

Is it for you
Who it fits, and who it doesn't
A good fit
- Residential service, panel and EV charger work
- Remodel circuits and lighting quoted at the house
- Shops from one truck to 25 people
- Electricians quoting on paper, in Excel or in an invoicing app
Not the right tool
- Commercial and new-construction bids taken off from plans (use a takeoff tool)
- Assemblies and labor units counted from drawings
- Shops that need two-way texting or call tracking in the same tool
- Companies with more than 25 people on one account
What it doesn't do yet
- No texting service
- Quotes and invoices can be texted from your own phone in one tap, and reminders go by email. We don't run two-way texting or automated text messages.
- Not in the app stores yet
- It runs in the browser on any phone, installs to the home screen, and works with no signal. The store apps are built and in review.
- No GPS truck tracking or call tracking
- There's a dispatch board with a map and a crew calendar with a tech on every job. Live truck tracking, route optimization and call tracking aren't built.
- No tap-to-pay or customer financing
- Customers pay by card from the invoice link, and you can keep a card on file. Tap-to-pay on a phone and financing offers on a quote aren't built.
- QuickBooks Online only, one way
- Customers, invoices and payments copy into QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop and changes made in QuickBooks aren't synced back, and US automatic sales tax is coming soon.
- 25 people is the cap
- Past 25 people on one account, this isn't the tool for you.
Questions
Electrical estimating software, answered
Is this a takeoff tool?+
No. Takeoff tools such as Trimble Accubid, McCormick and ConEst count devices and measure runs off plans for commercial and new-construction bids. EstimateKit is for quoting work at the house: service calls, panel upgrades, EV chargers, lighting and added circuits.
Does it come with electrical prices?+
Yes. A new electrical account starts with 45 repairs and their parts, each with hours and a starting price, plus four good, better, best quotes: a 200-amp panel upgrade, a Level 2 EV charger, a six-light recessed package and a portable generator hookup. Treat the prices as a starting point: the Set my prices button re-prices every repair from your own hourly rate and markup.
Can I charge a service call fee and an after-hours rate?+
Yes. The book starts with a $129 diagnostic call, $110 an hour standard labor, $165 after hours and $60 for an apprentice. Change any of them, and the repairs follow your standard rate.
Can I give options on a panel upgrade or an EV charger?+
Yes. Any quote can have good, better and best options with their own lines and totals, and the starter panel, EV charger and generator quotes already do. The homeowner sees all three on one page and signs the one they want.
Can I sell an electrical safety plan?+
Yes. A Home Electrical Safety Plan comes set up at $199 a year with an annual inspection, alarm and GFCI/AFCI tests, priority scheduling and 10% off repairs. Change the price and perks, add customers to it, and the yearly visit and renewal reminder are handled for you.
How much does it cost?+
$49 a month for the whole shop, up to 25 people. No per-seat fees and no contract. Every new account gets 14 days free with no card.
Do my electricians need their own logins?+
Yes, and they're included. Each tech gets a login to see their jobs, work through checklists and quote from the field. Owners decide whether techs can see prices.
Does it work with QuickBooks?+
Customers, invoices and payments copy into QuickBooks Online, one way. QuickBooks Desktop isn't supported.
