Jobber vs EstimateKit in three numbers before the details.
Jobber is well built and popular for good reason, and for a one-person shop it can cost less than EstimateKit: Core is $29 a month billed annually or $49 month to month, for one user (getjobber.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-12).
The gap opens when you add people. Jobber sells teams by size: Connect is $139 a month for one user, $199 with five, $299 with ten, and $29 a month for each person past the plan. A three-person shop pays $197 a month billed monthly. Optional line items, the feature that lets a customer choose between options on a quote, start on Grow at $199 a month for one user and $299 with five.

When Jobber is genuinely the right call.
Jobber is a good choice if you work alone and want the cheapest start, or if you want two-way texting, a website and an AI receptionist in the same tool. Its Client Hub and online booking suit shops that take a lot of service requests online, and it has tap to pay in the field, which we don't.
If you run a crew of two or more and win work on quotes with options, the team-size pricing and the plan you need for those options are where it starts to cost you.
Jobber pros and cons. What's good, what isn't.
Why shops switch. Every one of these is on the $49 plan.
Every quote carries good, better and best options from your own price book. Send it by email or text it from your phone; they choose, sign on their phone, and you get a notification.
$49 a month covers up to 25 people, with owner, office and technician roles. Hiring your next tech doesn't change the bill.
Approval creates the job with the chosen option, a deposit invoice if you take one, and the final invoice when the job is done. Payments and balances stay on the same record.
Maintenance plans lay out the visits for the year, remind the customer when a tune-up is due and before renewal. Equipment records keep model, serial, age and a photo of the data plate.
Techs build and edit quotes with no signal; it syncs when they're back in the truck. Nothing gets overwritten without asking.
Send your supplier price sheet during the trial and we'll load your price book and build the first real quote with you. Free, on the same $49 plan.
EstimateKit takes a home service shop from the quote the customer signs to the invoice they pay, with maintenance plans and equipment records, for $49 a month for up to 25 people.
Where EstimateKit comes up short. Better you hear it from us.
Quotes and invoices can be texted from your own phone in one tap, and reminders go by email. We don't run two-way texting or automated text messages.
It runs in the browser on any phone, installs to the home screen, and works with no signal. The store apps are built and in review.
There's a dispatch board with a map and a crew calendar with a tech on every job. Live truck tracking, route optimization and call tracking aren't built.
Customers pay by card from the invoice link, and you can keep a card on file. Tap-to-pay on a phone and financing offers on a quote aren't built.
Customers, invoices and payments copy into QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop and changes made in QuickBooks aren't synced back, and US automatic sales tax is coming soon.
Past 25 people on one account, this isn't the tool for you.

It's a well-made tool for any service trade, with online booking, two-way texting and card payments. In the trial account we opened in October 2026 the starter services came with no prices, there are no dedicated equipment records (model and serial go in custom fields), and the bill grows with team size.
Two-way texting on Grow and up, a website on every plan, an AI receptionist add-on, tap to pay in the field and store apps. EstimateKit takes card payments on the invoice through your own Stripe account and can keep a card on file, but doesn't run a texting service; you text quotes from your own phone in one tap.
